Allergan Aesthetics is a beauty and aesthetics brand. They were recently acquired by Abbvie, a biopharmaceutical company, and needed to refresh their visual identity.
As the Design Director on this project, I was in charge of guiding the brand refresh and launching their new look and feel into the world. This required directing brand videos, building a microsite for launch, training the global client team on their new brand and managing multiple designers & freelancers to meet our deadlines.

The first phase of the project started with updating Allergan Aesthetics’ visual identity. The client wanted a modern and minimal look that would appeal to consumers and medical professionals alike.
Once the visual system was approved, the team prepared for our brand launch. This launch occurred during COVID-19 so we were challenged to find the appropriate strategy to celebrate the work while being mindful of world events. A key touchpoint for the external launch required designing a full page ad in the Wall Street Journal that led readers to our launch microsite.
Lastly to capture and celebrate the new brand, our team collaborated with video editors to create a film. This was a crucial piece of work that helped us unveil the new brand and story in a simple and impactful way.
